I'm taking an extended break from Brick Owl as other priorities in life take preference. I expect to open the store again in March or April. For those with open orders, they will be processed today and shipped tomorrow (bPost isn't open today).

Our pre-Christmas trip to the UK went so well that some of the family followed us back to Belgium to continue the festivities. As a result our store will now remain closed a few days longer, but should be open again on Boxing Day for those buyers who want to beat the annual new-year increase in postage prices.

I'd like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very merry Christmas, and I hope all our customers receive everything they want and deserve for 2024.

1. bPost (the Belgian Post Office) is applying a €1 surcharge to all parcels sent between 24 November and 25 December. We will be updating our shipping prices on 23 November to account for this. This kind of surcharge is often seen with multi-national carriers like DPD and UPS, but it's the first time I've seen bPost impose one. A sign of the times I suppose.
2. Although, as always, we will remain open during the Christmas and New Year period, and shipping whenever the Post Office is open, we will be taking a short pre-Christmas break between Thursday 14 and Tuesday 19 December. Get your orders in early!

We're back in the country on Sunday 5 November, and will begin shipping orders the following day. 

We're closed now for a short break and will re-open on Friday 3 November. Thank-you for the last-minute rush of orders, they will all be shipped tomorrow (Friday).

We're ready to go earlier than expected. Please note that we will be closed between Thursday 26 October and Friday 3 November. The ability to pay by IBAN will be temporarily disabled on Sunday 22.

The store is now closed. Hopefully we will be able to open again at the weekend.

The store will close on Tuesday 17 October for at least three days, perhaps a little longer. Last shipments will go out on Wednesday morning, but we'll be back before you know it.

The store will be closed until Wednesday 28 June while we take a short trip to the United Kingdom.

Our new workbench arrives on Wednesday morning, about four weeks later than promised and eight weeks after it was ordered! I hope it's worth the wait. It's possible that the store may close for a few days while we shuffle things around to make room for it, but hopefully not.

We've secured a temporary solution for the lack of a workbench so are able to re-open our store a little earlier than expected. If this solution doesn't work out too well, we may close again until our new bench has arrived. Thanks again for your patience.

Our move went great but we did lose one cabinet of pieces, spilt down the staircase of the new place, which meant a laborious inventory check to remove those items that were swept up and disposed of. The delay in re-opening the store is because our moving company also irreparably damaged the workbench we used for preparing orders. Good ones are harder to find than we expected - the one we've ordered is due to be delivered on 15 May. Our store will then re-open - and more importantly - our own Lego building will re-commence!
